I one time referred to the Altrec Affiliate program as a “lean, mean converting machine” in a past ABW voting poll. Late last week we set up and customized a Twitter profile page for our network: http://www.twitter.com/AvantLink

Pretty nifty. Although we haven’t automated anything quite yet, we plan to run RSS snippets from both the AvantLink network blog and our public support forum on ABestWeb. As I’m sure is the case with many I’ve been hearing a lot of chatter about Twitter for a while now, but I never really embraced it until very recently…both as a distribution tool for our network and for myself personally. I’ve enjoyed the experience so far of posting/interacting with like minded folks and Affiliate industry professionals.

Word of wisdom, though. DON’T GAME IT. I’ve received a couple of requests to Digg, Stumble, etc. certain things from people I was following and it very quickly resulted in me removing them follow from my lists…and right quick!
